Living Well with Medical Anxiety Group

Co-led by Julie Sanders, LICSW and Ann Cedergren, M.Ed.
Group begins on Monday, Sept. 14 and runs for 10 weeks.
TIME: 3:30-4:30 p.m.
PLACE: The Soul Purpose – large yoga room, or over Zoom
INVESTMENT: $25 per group, or if paid in advance, $200
WHO IS THIS GROUP FOR: Adults age 18 and up who struggle with chronic health issues, and or acute anxiety about coping with medical issues.
GOAL OF GROUP: To learn coping skills for medical anxiety that can serve you throughout your life. We will be working on regulating your nervous system by calming our fight or flight response. Some yoga, breathwork and DBT skills introduced. This is not a process group. We will not be discussing our medical trauma/anxiety- but learning skills to help us cope better.

DBT SKILLS GROUP
You must complete an intake with Julie Sanders, LICSW prior to starting group and be prepared to commit to an 8-9 month treatment process, including weekly homework.
WHEN: Meets on Thursdays from 4:30-6 p.m weekly over ZOOM
WHERE: ZOOM
COST: $60 per group (Many Insurances Accepted)
Weekly Schedule includes:
- Mindfulness Practice
- Review Homework from previous week
- Teach a new skill – Mindfulness, Distress Tolerance, Emotion Regulation and Interpersonal Effectiveness.
This is a rolling admission group, as space allows, we will rotate new members in at the end of every module, which is about 10-12 weeks long.
You must be working with an individual therapist while in DBT skills training.
Julie Sanders, LICSW is an intensively trained DBT therapist with over 20 years of DBT clinical experience who offers comprehensive DBT treatment to a small handful of clients. If interested in comprehensive DBT treatment, please indicate this on the scheduling intake form.

This group is for any adult, 18 and up, in MA or RI who has completed a 6-month DBT Skills group and is looking to advance their skills.
WHEN: Class Meets Every Other Wednesday Afternoon 4:30 - 5:30

EVERYTHING YOU NEED TO KNOW ABOUT
DIABETES AND MENTAL HEALTH

This class is designed for those living with Diabetes and their caregivers, as well as those mental health and medical professionals that want to better support your clients in their recovery. This class is being provided with 3 optional CEU credits for Social workers, mental health counselors and nurses. Please click the link below to learn more and to register. There will be no refunds for this class. If you are unable to attend in person, you may join remotely over Zoom. You will not be eligible for CEU credits if you don’t attend live or over ZOOM. A recording will be made available to those that have attended, if requested.

CEUs Available:
Earn continuing education credits for social workers, mental health counselors, and nurses (additional $10 fee). Please specify the credits needed and your license number when registering.
